Communities We Serve
Community Residences is one of the largest providers of services to individuals with disabilities in Virginia, serving consumers in Arlington, Fairfax and Prince William Counties and the City of Richmond. In Maryland, Community Residences serves consumers in Anne Arundel and Baltimore Counties and in Baltimore City.
A Summary of our Programs and Services
Community Residences operates the following programs:
9 Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs) each serving 6-8 adults with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. ICFs operate 24/7 and provide meal preparation, house-keeping, counseling, behavior management, medication management, nursing care, community integration and daily living skills training.
2 Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs) each serving 6-8 adults with mental illness. ALFs operate 24/7 and provide meal preparation, house-keeping, life-skills training, medication management and counseling.
9 Group Homes each serving 6-8 intellectually disabled adults or mental health consumers. These homes offer 24/7 supervision as well as community integration activities, medication management services and instruction in daily living and interpersonal skills.
4 Mental Health Transitional Living Facilities that provide community support/reintegration services in order to enable individuals to return to or attain independent living.
A Wide-Array of Community Living and Support Programs that serve those who are or who have recently been homeless, as well as adults with disabilities who live independently yet benefit from supportive community integration, socialization, recovery programs, daily living skills assistance and case management services.
